Registration is open for the Access to Capital and Telecom Policy Conference.
The Minority Media & Telecom Council holds the annual event, now in its 10th year.
This year’s conference is slated for July 18–19 at Washington’s Westin Georgetown Hotel.
Besides providing an overall view of the telecommunications and broadcasting industries, the event puts together entrepreneurs and established media owners with people who can possibly provide financing and facilitate a deal, like bankers, venture capitalists, media brokers and attorneys.
Some of the confirmed speakers include Jonathan Adelstein, former FCC commissioner and now administrator of the U.S. Agriculture Department’s rural utilities service, FCC Commissioners Mignon Clyburn and Robert McDowell along with Al Liggins, president and chief executive officer of broadcaster Radio One.
