Renovated Space Opens for KDHX

Remodeled St. Louis building features lots of studio space for FM station

KDHX(FM), St. Louis, has new studios.

Paragon Media’s Mike Henry recently attended the grand opening.

The renovated building in the heart of downtown St. Louis features four floors for the station, consisting of on-air and production studios, a recording studio and performance space as well as offices.

KDHX is an independent, noncommercial, listener-supported community station licensed to Double Helix Corp., a nonprofit arts and educational group. The Class C1 station operates on 88.1 MHz.

Henry describes KDHX as a community station with professional implementation. “Executive Director, Beverly Hacker, and Chief Content Officer, Chris Bay, lead a small staff of paid employees and a large armada of volunteers. They’ve held onto block music programming (no format), so depending on when you tune in, you might hear shows dedicated to indie rock, blues, hip-hop or Americana.”
