Ricciardelli Is Newest SBE Fellow

He is a Charter member of the 50-year-old organization

Being called a good fellow is nice; but being called a Fellow by the SBE is a truly big deal.

The Society of Broadcast Engineers has elevated Gino Ricciardelli, CPBE, to the membership rank of Fellow. The board elected him Sunday during the 2014 NAB Show.

Ricciardelli is a broadcast engineering consultant and a member of SBE Chapter 1 in Binghamton, N.Y. He is a Charter and Life member of the society, having joined in 1964. Last year SBE elevated Lawrence Behr, James Schoedler and Larry Wilkins.

“The Fellow honor is the highest membership level in the SBE. Members must have made significant contributions to the broadcast engineering field or the SBE,” the society stated. “Candidates are nominated by their peers. Sixty-three members have been honored with the Fellow rank in SBE’s 50-year history.” Ricciardelli will be honored during the SBE National Awards Dinner in October in Verona, N.Y., part of the annual SBE National Meeting.
