Richardson Electronics Ltd. will amend its financial statements because of an accounting error. The error, announced earlier, affected reported interest expense for the prior seven quarters; it was off by $700,000. The restatement will increase diluted earnings per share to 15 cents for the second quarter of 2004 vs. the 11 cents published last month.
