Rivet Radio has added a “follow” feature to its iOS mobile app, which enables listeners to subscribe to specific topics, shows, hosts or producers in a curated channel of content.
The customizable audio platform has also added podcasts to its library, including several from public media content creators, such as “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me,” “This American Life,” “99% Invisible,” “TED Radio Hour,” “Freakonomics Radio” and “Radio Lab.”
“The new Follow feature, coupled with our addition of premiere podcasts, creates an even richer and more tailored listening experience for all users,” said Rivet Radio Vice President of Podcasts Judy MacLeod. “We recognize the remarkable demand for a thriving form of audio storytelling like podcasts, and are working to bring 200 leading podcasts to our listeners by the end of this month.”
