RMLC Announces New Executive Committee Leadership

Atsinger will succeed Christian and VerStandig

The nonprofit Radio Music License Committee elected Salem Media Group CEO Ed Atsinger to serve as chairman and also named the members of its 2019 executive committee at its board meeting last week.

Atsinger will succeed RMLC Co-Chairs Ed Christian and John VerStandig, both of whom will now serve as at-large officers (VerStandig will specialize in litigation).

Atsinger recently stepped down as chairman of the National Religious Broadcasters Music Licensing Committee, a position he held for multiple terms.

The board elected Paul Rahmlow to serve as vice chairman, Tres Williams as secretary, Gene Levin as treasurer, Clayton Nix as at-large officer, Paul Yates as at-larger officer. Ben Downs, Johnny Palumbo and Karen Wishart will also join the board.

“We will continue the fight to maintain reasonable license fee levels during difficult economic times,” Atsinger said in the press release announcing his new leadership role.
