James Robinson
iHeartMedia Washington, says James Robinson has been named vice president of sales.
Robinson will work with the programming and operations teams from the D.C. cluster’s five radio station brands to create sales campaigns.
He is a 17-year media veteran who previously served as the general sales manager for iHeartMedia St. Louis. He has also led radio sales teams in: New Orleans; Atlanta; Memphis, Tenn.; and Columbus, Ohio.
iHeartMedia Washington/Baltimore owns and operates WASH(FM), WBIG(FM), WIHT, WMZQ(FM), WWDC(FM), WCAO(AM), WPOC(FM), WQSR(FM) and WZFT(FM).
In other iHeart news, Miami’s WBGG(FM) has named Dave Hill as program director, effective Aug. 22. He will report to Regional Senior Vice President Alex Tear. He will join BIG 105.9 from iHeartMedia Portland, where he has been the SVP of programming since 2014.
WBGG features classic rock music programming, and as PD, Hill will oversee all broadcast and digital operations of the station and will serve as on-air host on weekday evenings.
iHeartMedia Miami owns and operates WHYI(FM), WIOD(AM), WMIA(FM), WBGG(FM), WMGE(FM), WMIB(FM), WINZ(AM) in Miami/Fort Lauderdale along with five HD Digital Radio stations.
