With its SR8000 and NR8200 transmitters, Rohde & Schwarz says it can meet the full range of analog FM requirements.

Both families are air-cooled and include digital exciters, power amplifiers, splitters and couplers, power distribution, transmitter rack and transmitter control units. Users can retrieve all system parameters either locally or remotely via standard IP connection and software.

The SR8000 series offer output powers between 100 W and 2.5 kW. Rohde & Schwarz has integrated all functions in a single system occupying a maximum of 8 rackunits.

Single frequency network (SFN) operation is possible while passive and (n+1) standby systems containing up to eight main transmitters are also available.

NR8200 transmitters cover the 2.5 to 40 kW power range. It is possible to house two 5 kW transmitters in a 19-inch rack, with a complete 30 kW system requiring only two racks.

With the NR8200, possible configurations include exciter standby, n+1 standby, passive standby and active dual output stage with manual or automatic switchover.
