Sage Alerting Systems has signed distribution deals for its Digital Endec EAS system with several nationally known broadcast equipment distributors.
The product is now available from Broadcasters General Store, BSW, Giesler Broadcasting Supply, Harris and SCMS.
Sage Vice President Jerry LeBow said: “We wanted our new Endec to be available wherever broadcasters purchase their studio and transmission systems. We picked the best distributors who will be trained to assist broadcasters with the new Endec.”
President Harold Price noted in the announcement, “The requirements for EAS have changed dramatically over the years. When the first Endec was sold in 1996, there was no digital radio or digital TV. Now, the FCC and FEMA are mandating the use of CAP, the common Alert Protocol, as a way of getting emergency messages to broadcasters and cable systems faster and more accurately.”
