SAS Tapped for Clear Channel Las Vegas Buildout

Clear Channel will be consolidating its Las Vegas stations into one building and has tapped Sierra Automated Systems for the job. There will be a total of four FM control rooms, three production studios, one DJ booth, one news studio, a traffic studio and a technical operations center. SAS will handle the wiring and installation. Clear Channel hopes to have the studios operational by Spring 2004.
The order with SAS is for $250,000 and the gear includes seven SAS Rubicon consoles and a complete SAS 32KD routing system with nine RIOlink remote I/O chassis.
“SAS is pleased with the confidence Clear Channel has in our new Rubicon system in making it the cornerstone of their new Las Vegas showcase facility. We look forward to showing it off at NAB,” said Howard Mullinack, director of strategic development at Sierra Automated Systems.
