Final month approaches, don’t wait until the last moment

Learfield, Orbital Media Networks, Premiere Networks, Skyview Networks and Westwood One are sending out a reminder that AMC-8, a main programming distribution channel will be going dark in less than 30 days.

The group feels that many clients have not yet reoriented the satellite downlinks to receive programing for the replacement bird, AMC-18. Making the new connection will allow for trouble-shooting any problems and a last-minute rush will overburden tech and engineering help.

The group has provided a handy FAQ for AMC-8 users and a list of qualified satellite equipment vendors and tech help.
