Steve Keeler is the SBE Educator of the Year. The Society of Broadcast Engineers has announced its National Awards for 2002; winners will be honored during its national meeting in October in Phoenix. Keeler is a professor of telecommunications and broadcasting at Cayuga Community College and is coordinator of its telecommunications degree and distance learning programs.
Also honored by SBE is Charles “Buc” Fitch, recipient of the Best Technical Article, Book or Program by an SBE Member Award for a series of articles he wrote in Radio World about the National Electrical Code. The SBE Broadcast Engineer of the Year is television engineer Joseph Snelson Jr.
