The Society of Broadcast Engineers started its annual membership campaign.
Working with the theme of “Raising the Bar,” the SBE is offering prizes and discounts for 2012 membership as well.
Top prize is a trip to the SBE National Meeting in Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 27–28. Other prizes include a pair of Kathrein AON 65 UHF antennas, a copy of “Small Antennas” by John Volakis, Chi-Cheh Chen and Kyohei Fujimoto, along with a number of polo shirts. The drive runs to May 31.
The organization has 5,400 members in 114 U.S. chapters, plus members in 20 other countries.
Society President Vinny Lopez, CEV, CBNT said: “The SBE is ‘Raising the Bar’ this year in its educational, certification and career advancement programs. I encourage our members to do the same with this year’s drive and support the one association created to support, educate, certify and promote your profession. I challenge every member to recruit one new member during the drive.”
