W. C. “Cris” Alexander and Ralph Hogan have been named Fellows of The Society of Broadcast Engineers. SBE President Joe Snelson made the announcement at the society’s membership meeting held at the NAB Show.
Alexander serves as the head of Crawford Broadcasting’s Corporate Engineering Department in Denver, Co. He is a Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer and has served on the SBE’s board of directors. Alexander is a member of the Society’s Certification and Education Committees, and is a long time Radio World contributor.

Hogan is the immediate past president of the SBE, vice president of the IEEE, and is the associate general manager for engineering and technical services for KZJJ(FM) and KBAQ(FM) in Tempe, Ariz. He is also a Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer.
Since the SBE was founded in 1964, 75 members have been elevated to fellow, the highest level of membership. The honor is bestowed on those members who have made significant contributions to the industry and the organization.
The formal ceremony to honor Alexander and Hogan as SBE Fellows will be held at the society’s 51st annual meeting in Middleton, Wis., on October 14 and 15.
