SCBA Names Callahan President

Chairman calls him ‘true advocate for radio’

The Board of Directors of Southern California Broadcasters Association has chosen Thom Callahan as its new president.

Callahan was most recently president of Callahan Communications, and he has also worked as director of sales for L.A.-based Radiate Media. Over 30 years, he has held senior management positions with the Associated Press, CBS Radio, Metro Networks and Anheuser-Busch.

Callahan has been a guest speaker and moderator for NAB-sponsored events and has served as a member of the AP Radio advisory board and on the advisory boards of the Ad Clubs in three cities.

“He is a true advocate for radio, with a history of collaborating with diverse groups to achieve a common goal,” said SCBA Chairman of the Board and CBS SVP Market Manager, Steve Carver.
