Scion Adds Sports Car With HD Radio

Digital radio standard with 2013 Scion FR-S at dealerships now

Toyota’s Scion marque said that its 2013 FR-S sports car, which includes HD Radio technology as standard equipment, is now at dealerships nationwide. The FR-S joins the Scion model lineup, including the iQ, tC, xB and xD that already offer HD Radio.

The FR-S comes standard with an eight-speaker AM/FM/CD/USB 300-watt Pioneer audio system as well as HD Radio technology and Bluetooth connectivity.

Scion offers HD Radio technology standard across its entire vehicle lineup.

The Toyota and Lexus brands also offer HD Radio on most vehicles.

HD Radio technology is or will be available as a factory-installed feature from 28 automotive brands, according to iBiquity Digital.
