Also at the NAB, Scott Studios will add features to its SS 32 digital audio system, including Stretch and Squeeze, the ability to speed up music with no pitch change. Also added are new “skins,” automatic time calculations to the top of hour and network shows, cue-in recordings and pause controls.
Scott says the Stretch and Squeeze option lets users produce a commercial and adjust it plus or minus 20 percent to 30- and 60-second lengths for the network without voice changes. Users can speed up music pacing without affecting pitch and apply a different temp to a category, shift, day or season.
SS 32 users can add the Squeeze and Stretch and apply it to pre-existing spots and music without redubbing.
