Senate Plans Commerce Nomination Hearing This Week

The Senate Commerce Committee has scheduled a hearing on the nomination of Carlos Gutierrez as Secretary of Commerce on Wednesday, Jan. 5. Following the hearing, Senators Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, and Daniel Inouye, D-Alaska, plan to bring the committee into executive session to vote on reporting out the nomination to the full Senate.
