Senators Go to Bat for Adelstein

Seventeen members of the Senate Commerce Committee, including Chairman John McCain and Ranking Minority Leader Fritz Hollings have asked the president to re-nominate FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein to that post.
Adelstein, nominated to fill out the remainder of Gloria Tristani’s term, will need to leave when Congress adjourns this session unless he receives a recess appointment. His term was up a year ago.
