Services Saturday for Pat Medved

Former broadcast sales exec died of cancer

Colleagues are remembering Pat Medved, who passed away recently.

Many broadcast industry people knew him for his tenure at equipment supplier BSW, where he worked from 1982 to 1996. He died after a 10-month battle with cancer, according to a family Web site. He was 54.

“His wife and soul mate Bernie, daughter Kelsey, son Marcus, sister Susie, her husband John and Patches, his dog and faithful bedmate were at his side,” the site stated.

Medved was born in Tacoma, Wash., and graduated from Bellarmine, a prep school where he played football, track and basketball. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Denver.

Services will be held Saturday (Feb. 14) at St. Leo’s in Tacoma with a reception at the Titlow Lodge in Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to Franciscan Hospice. Online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
