Dan Sessler purchased RF Specialties of Texas from Don Jones. The office will move from Amarillo to the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex.
RF Specialties Group is an alliance of independent broadcast suppliers. The franchise Sessler acquired is the Nautel transmitter dealer for five states; it also represents lines including Orban, Moseley, ERI, Shively and Wheatstone/Audioarts in New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.
Sessler recently retired from the Broadcast Communications Division of Harris, where he was a district sales manager for RF transmission products.
“From his first radio engineering job in West Virginia, he moved into radio station ownership and then helped build the local public television station in Beckley, W.Va.,” the company states in the announcement.
“After several positions and operating a technical service company, Sessler moved to Harris radio sales covering the Southeast US, and later to Texas, marketing television transmission products in 13 mid and southwestern states.”
He acquired the RF Specialties franchise from Jones, who will continue to be active in the region, and associate Wray Reed.
