RadioShack announced fourth quarter sales fell 1% to $1.48 billion, although the company said its earnings per share will exceed its earlier forecast of 67 to 70 cents.
Additionally, the company reported that free cash flow would be higher than previously estimated.
Leonard Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer, stated, “We overcame light traffic trends and inclement weather by selling more profitably to deliver higher earnings and greater shareholder value.”
Wireless communications sales were up 17% over a year earlier, while wired communications, including phones, fell 18%.
