While you might not be in England to catch the legendary pirate Radio Caroline (now a landbound Internet operation so it doesn’t really matter where you are), there’s always something about being “in-sync” with a program. No one wants to hear about the morning when it’s night and vice-versa.

The kind audio buccaneers have taken that to heart and created time-shifted streams — one matching Eastern time and one for Pacific. Now the morning show can play in the morning and dreamy tunes for the overnight can air while it’s dark outside.

But, wait, there’s more! Now there’s a Radio Caroline app, for automatically delivering time-adjusted streaming — East Coast or West Coast. The app is available in Apple and Android flavors.

So now there’s no excuse for not joining with the kids and showing the squares that they can’t prevent us from listening to our rock ’n’ roll! Or something to that effect.

Show Me the Public File

Although a majority of Missouri radio stations complied with Public Inspection File requests in a recent study, one in five licensees failed to produce Issues-Programs Lists upon demand during station visits.
