Changes in Bloom at NAB2007

“To reflect the continued growth [of the show] the exhibit floor has been reorganized to build upon its continued evolution to a convention that showcases the full range of tools behind electronic media.”

Attendees of NAB2007 should bring their walking shoes. A new year at the NAB convention brings a new, larger floor layout, among other changes, to the world’s largest electronic media show.

NAB2007, scheduled for April 14-19, features not only an all-new layout, but also detailed exhibit categorization systems. These new systems, according to NAB, are designed to accommodate the full spectrum of electronic media, including emerging technologies such as mobile and IPTV.

“NAB2007 will feature an exhibit floor spanning nearly 860,000 square feet,” said NAB Spokesman Kristopher Jones. “To reflect the continued growth [of the show] the exhibit floor has been reorganized to build upon its continued evolution to a convention that showcases the full range of tools behind electronic media.”

Jones promises an exhibit floor layout that’s a “more dynamic reflection of the current marketplace” at NAB2007. “This will make navigation easier for attendees while more evenly distributing major, anchor exhibitors.”

NAB said the conference has simply outgrown its current configuration, and will now utilize all of the LVCC North Hall, instead of just the eastern half as it has in recent years. This includes both floors of the South Hall, and all of the Central and North Halls. RTNDA@NAB will remain at the Las Vegas Hilton.
