The Audio Engineering Society has opened registration for AES New York 2022.
The convention will be co-located with NAB Show New York, with a common exhibition floor. Registration for the NAB event opens June 22.
AES will be at the Javits Center on Oct. 19–20, “with pre-and post-show activities on the 18th and 21st, followed by an online component, Oct. 26–27.”
Convention Chair Jonathan Wyner said in a release that AES plans to continue offering convention content via a fall component, though “[T]here’s just nothing that completely replaces gathering as a community and interacting face-to-face.”
One of the things to watch this fall is the possible impact on these events of the decision by NAB to discontinue its annual fall Radio Show. We know that NAB has moved its annual Marconi Awards ceremony to its New York conference.
