The Broadcasters Foundation of America will honor the late Jim Thompson during the upcoming NAB Show.
Thompson was a president of the foundation for many years.

His wife Cindy will accept the organization’s Chairman’s Award at the foundation’s annual breakfast on April 19.
Thompson died last August. He was known in radio for his work at Group W and Liberty Broadcasting; he created the Radio-Mercury Awards and helped the Broadcasters Foundation grow significantly. The foundation helps people in radio and TV who are in acute financial need due to an illness, accident or other misfortune.
The breakfast is complimentary for anyone in broadcasting; registration is required.
