The NAB Show New York convention drew an estimated 9,500 registered attendees, according to a preliminary attendance figure released by the National Association of Broadcasters on Thursday.
Like all industry trade shows, this one was disrupted over several years by the pandemic; it had not been held in person since 2019. NAB President/CEO Curtis LeGeyt said the turnout “reinforces the power of our brand and the value of in-person trade shows.”
NAB NY drew about 15,000 people in 2018 and 13,000 in 2019.

This was the first NAB Show New York to include significant content targeted to radio broadcasters. The association made the decision during the pandemic to end its traditional separate fall Radio Show.
The event was collocated with the annual AES New York conference. The events shared an exhibit floor.
On Friday, AES reported that audio pro registration for AES New York 2022 was around 7,000, for a combined attendance to the two events of around 16,500 people and approximately 350 exhibitors.
