NAB Show New York Adds a Radio Slant

October event will include radio content for the first time

For the first time, a radio-oriented conference will be part of NAB Show New York in October.

The event will help fill a slot on the annual radio industry calendar that had been occupied by the Radio Show, which is no longer held.

The National Association of Broadcasters has announced the schedule for an Oct. 20 conference called “Radio Reimagined | Charting Radio’s Future.”

“Radio Reimagined is geared towards station-level radio managers, programmers and operators from all market sizes,” NAB said in its announcement. It will focus on “radio, podcast creation and audience engagement” and feature speakers from companies like Audacy, Cumulus Media, Futuri Media, iHeartMedia and Triton Digital.

It’s actually one of two radio-focused tracks. On Oct. 19, a seminar called “Radio Insights” will take place, targeting radio executives, with separate registration for NAB members only. It is sponsored by Bloomberg Communications and includes a lunch, reception and tour of the sponsor’s headquarters and media facility.

NAB Show New York takes place Oct. 17–20. It will share an exhibit floor with the 2022 AES Show, with booths open Oct. 19–20. Winners of the NAB Marconi Radio Awards will be announced Oct. 19.
