“When paired with other technologies and applications in our enCloud suite, broadcasters can truly make the world their studio.”
That’s the promise from ENCO about its second-generation WebDAD, to be shown at NAB Show in April.
WebDAD is a cloud-based solution, part of ENCO’s enCloud family, that allows broadcasters to take native control of their station from any networked location. The manufacturer says it provides users with a fully virtualized platform to remotely access and control studio-based ENCO DAD radio automation systems.
Its user interface now has been redesigned and optimized through an HTML5 architecture; thus, ENCO says, broadcasters are no longer limited to specific web browsers, enabling native-level control from any workstation or mobile device.

President Ken Frommert said the first iteration introduced the ability to manage and drive on-air presentation, playlist manipulation, voice tracking, and other critical production tasks. “With our HTML5-based re-design, WebDAD becomes the most powerful and comprehensive browser-based interface yet, giving broadcasters and production teams a direct line to DAD and complete control of the one-air interface over IP via any standard web browser.”
ENCO said this offering helps stations and networks quickly establish a decentralized work force.
