Radio Show Announces Broadcast Finance Panel

Panelists will be Caroline Beasley, Ginny Morris, Dhruv Prasad and Marci Ryvicker

The 2018 Radio Show in Orlando, Fla., will feature a panel of radio executives and industry experts who will discuss the impact of deregulation and large-scale debt reduction on the industry.

Scheduled for Sept. 26 from 8:30–10 a.m., “Pillsbury’s Broadcast Finance 2018: Radio’s Debt Cloud Finally Lifts” is the 28th annual session hosted by law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Pillsbury partner Scott Flick will moderate the discussion, and breakfast will be sponsored by Media Services Group.

The 2018 panelists are Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley, Hubbard Radio LLC Chair Ginny Morris and Townsquare Media co-CEO Dhruv Prasad. Also, Wells Fargo Securities Managing Director and Senior Equity Analyst Marci Ryvicker will deliver opening remarks and also participate in the discussion.

They will predict the radio’s 2019 economic forecast, including factors like media ownership deregulation and the potential impact of radio groups’ debt reductions.

THE PANELISTS

Prior to her current role, Beasley served as executive vice president, CFO, treasurer and secretary of the company. She serves as the joint board chair of the NAB board of directors and is a past chair of the NAB Radio Board. Additionally, she is a member of the BMI board of directors and the Broadcasters Foundation of America board of directors.

Morris is responsible for overseeing operations and strategy for Hubbard’s 21 radio stations. In 2011, Morris led Hubbard’s acquisition of 17 radio stations from Bonneville International Corp. She also serves as the chair of the RAB Board.

Prasad co-founded Townsquare Media in 2010. Prior to 2017, he served as executive vice president, live events and managed operations and strategy for the company. Before Townsquare, he worked in private equity investing and corporate finance.

Ryvicker provides analysis of the media sector with focus on diversified entertainment, broadcast, outdoor and cable/satellite for Wells Fargo Securities. Companies under her coverage include Entercom and CBS Corp.

As a partner at Pillsbury LLP, Flick represents media entities on transactional, regulatory, business, finance, litigation and policy matters. He has handled over $35 billion in broadcast acquisitions and mergers in addition to a variety of other types of transactions. He has represented large companies in the broadcast industry and is regularly quoted … on communications law and policy matters.

The Radio Show will be held Sept. 25–28 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf-Astoria Orlando.
