Sirenza Introduces Thin Sirius Antenna

Sirius Satellite Radio and Sirenza Microdevices have introduced what they say is the thinnest satellite radio antenna on the market. The firms designed the disc-shaped antenna, which is meant to be roof-mounted.
Sirenza President/CEO Robert Van Buskirk said his company ramped up its production capacity to make the antenna that he believes demonstrates Sirenza’s ability to use its RF design and manufacturing expertise, and showcase its ability to move into more diversified end markets and applications. The company designs RF components for the commercial communications, aerospace and defense industries.
The new Sirius ultra-low profile antenna from Sirenza will be available this summer with several Sirius plug and play radios, and also sold separately by Sirenza.
