Sirius Bird 2 Set For Launch

Sirius Satellite Radio plans to launch its 2nd bird Sept. 5 from Kazakhstan. The first of the company’s three satellites was sent into orbit June 30.
Sirius’ ground spare was damaged during assembly. Previously, it was scheduled for delivery to ground storage in December. Sirius hopes to be able to announce that revised delivery date in 30 days.
