Sirius Satellite Radio has hired Dr. Mircho Davidov as senior vice president, engineering. Davidov will oversee Sirius’ engineering programs, including the deployment of its terrestrial repeater system and receiver development.
Davidov succeeds Robert Briskman, the company’s co-founder and executive vice president, engineering. As announced earlier this year, Briskman is retiring after all three Sirius satellites are launched this fall.
Davidov was most recently vice president for Hughes Network Systems, where he managed a mobile communications system for 99 countries.
