Catholics have their own channel now on Sirius.
The satellite company and the Archdiocese of New York have launched The Catholic Channel. It airs contemporary talk and live daily Mass from Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in the city.
Listeners will be encouraged to call to talk about the issues that are on their mind and in the news. Daily program hosts and guests will include members of the clergy and laity.
Programming will include human-interest stories and inspirational themes, reflections on scripture, church history, sacred music, shows offering spiritual guidance, and football and basketball games from the University of Notre Dame.
Cardinal Egan, the archbishop of New York, will be a contributor.
