Sirius Satellite Radio has reached an agreement with STMicroelectronics to produce and integrate Sirius’ next generation chipset for its satellite radios. The Sirius development lab in Princeton, N.J. designed the advanced chipset with STMicroelectronics. Both companies say the new chipset will mean lower costs, improved performance and enhanced features for Sirius radios planned for release during the second half of 2005.
