Many Americans are choosing to drive cross-country for vacation this summer, and women and 18- to 24-year-olds say they would rather control the music than the driving, according to a recent RoperASW survey.
Sirius believes the results show “Americans want great music on road trips,” said Larry Rebich, vice president of programming & market development for Sirius.
The RoperASW survey, which asked a sample of 1,025 consumers if they would rather drive or control the music on a road trip, concluded that women – 47% vs. 38% – and 18- to 24-year-olds – 47% vs. 41% – would rather control the music. Respondents not reflected in these findings chose “neither.”
Sirius expects Kenwood and Audiovox portable satellite digital radios to be available in June.
