Sirius XM Radio said it added 334,727 subscribers in the third quarter of 2010; that’s up from 102,295 in the same period last year.
The company said it’s on track to end the year with just over 20 million subscribers.
The rate at which customers started paying full price for subscriptions after trial offers also improved by almost 2% from a year earlier to 48%.
Analysts say the satcaster has posted three straight quarters of profit and is still adding subscribers, distancing itself from the years of big losses and questions about its business model.
