SiriusXM Kicks Off Summer, Honors the Troops

Satellite radio will feature special programming for Memorial Day weekend

SiriusXM will salute the troops and kick off its summer with a weekend of special programming in honor of Memorial Day, beginning Friday, May 22.

The special programming will feature concerts and performances by Elton John, Reba McEntire and Melissa Etheridge; live DJ sets from Electric Daisy Carnival in New York by Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Afrojack; special editions of SiriusXM’s “Town Hall” series with Seth Meyers and Snoop Dogg, a Vietnam War Memorial Weekend Dedication and more.

Also, this weekend will see the launch of previously announced new channels including Pitbull’s Globalization, James Taylor Channel and Jeff & Larry’s Comedy Roundup.

Additionally, all SiriusXM channels will pause to remember all those who have given their lives in service to our country by playing “Taps” across every music, sports, talk and entertainment channel. The one-minute solemn observance will be broadcast at approximately 12 p.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, across its entire channel lineup, via satellite and online, in recognition of the national holiday honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country.

The full-lineup of SiriusXM Memorial Day programming and complete broadcast times are available online.
