“Would you like SiriusXM Satellite Radio with your service?”
Customers at participating car dealerships will soon hear that question when they roll up to have their car serviced.
The satcaster has launched a program designed to increase the conversion of those who had a free trial into paying satellite radio subscribers. Called Service Lane, the program provides a free two-month SiriusXM trial to qualifying customers who have their satellite radio-equipped vehicles serviced at participating car dealerships.
Service Lane builds on a previous SiriusXM program for used cars. The new program casts a wider net to reach more vehicle owners than could take part in the previous program.
Ten-thousand dealers took part in the previous pre-owned vehicle program. Sirius XM Radio SVP/GM Automotive Remarketing and Retail Sales Joe Verbrugge says dealers are embracing Service Lane as a way to show their appreciation to service customers and build loyalty.
