Westwood One said its SmartRoute Systems arm is pitching cities on the opportunities presented by a federal law.
The new transportation reauthorization law is SAFETEA-LU. “A major provision of the new law is the Intelligent Transportation Infrastructure Program, which provides up to $2 million in federal funding for Intelligent Transportation Systems in selected metro areas across the county,” the supplier stated.
SmartRoute operates a traffic information service, data collection and traffic operations.
