In the latest issue of Time Magazine Tavis Smiley says the pace that National Public Radio was moving to get younger listeners and non-whites to listen “wasn’t fast enough.” That’s why he left NPR.
He says he doesn’t have any other radio shows lined up. PBS has picked up his show for a second year and he says he will produce three prime-time specials for the TV broadcaster.
