“The future of radio is not annihilation by satellite radio and the iPod after all. Internet radio is growing strongly ... powered by local radio station streams, which are attracting listeners at quadruple the rate of Internet-only stations.”

That’s the slant from the new chairman of the RAB board, Peter Smyth, as the convention opens. He is also president/CEO of Greater Media and was writing in that role. The comments are from his monthly column about the health and future of the industry.
