Red Zebra Broadcasting said it has completed its first acquisitions: WBPS(FM), WBZS(FM) and WKDL(AM) from Mega Communications Inc., giving the buyer a presence in the Washington radio market. Red Zebra is a new venture formed by Washington Redskins owner Daniel M. Snyder.
The company had said earlier it planned the purchase of the stations, part of its plans to build a network around the Redskins.
CEO Bennett Zier noted that there are “only 96 days until kickoff of the Redskins’ first pre-season game.”
