SolidSpace Debuts Podcasting Service With AC Station

SolidSpace debuted a podcast hosting service targeting radio stations.
It did so in a partnership with WSMW(FM) in Greensboro, N.C., an adult contemporary station owned by Entercom.
WSMW, also known as “98-7 Simon,” has been posting podcasts from its weekday morning program “The Wicker Show” since late summer. WSMW staff packages the content and forwards it through links to SolidSpace, which hosts the content in its Winston-Salem, N.C.-based data center.
“Podcasting was just another opportunity for us to interact with our audience,” said WSMW Program Director Michael Bryan in the company announcement. “If they missed something unusual that happened on the show, they can go back and check it out on our Web site. Other radio stations run the best snippets of the week on the weekend, but on our site listeners don’t have to wait that long.”
