CBS Radio Chicago has chosen Greg Solk as program director and operations manager for WXRT(FM) and WJMK(FM).
“Greg grew up listening to XRT as a teenager and spent decades programming against it. This is an unbelievable opportunity for us to have not only a true fan of XRT but a strategic thinker to make XRT the number one rock choice in Chicago,” said CBS Radio Chicago Vice President of Programming Todd Cavanah.
The Chicago native began his career as a 15-year-old intern at WLUP(FM) Chicago in 1977. Most recently, he was senior vice president of programming at Hubbard Radio overseeing seven markets (Chicago, Washington, Phoenix, Minneapolis-St. Paul, St. Louis and Cincinnati).
His radio experience includes programming and building radio identities including WLUP, WDRV(FM), WTMX(FM) and KFOG(FM).
In Chicago, CBS Radio owns and operates WBBM(AM/FM), WJMK, WUSN(FM), WXRT, WCFS(FM) and WSCR(AM).
