Sonifex Does It for the Kids

English college station refurbs studio with Sonifex console

Echo FM is a community station run by Farnborough College of Technology in Farnborough, England.

In February it refurbished its radio facilities. The main broadcast studio, Studio 1, received a Sonifex S2 digital/analog console as its centerpiece.

Echo FM is using the S2 in a “split” configuration.

Ben Jordan, Radio, music and performing arts technician at Farnborough College, was quoted in the announcement from Sonifex: “I’ve managed to put together a rather smart looking studio and all the students are over the moon with it. The two-studio setup is working far better than before, and we are delighted with the Sonifex S2 quality and simplicity. Everyone has commented that it’s much nicer than the old gear.”
