Sonos, a maker of wirelessly distributed radios, has announced upgrades to its product line.
The upgrade package is a software release, Sonos System Software v3.2. Notable for radio among the new features is access to Clear Channel’s iheartradio, a portal to the company’s radio stations on the Internet (more than 750). That popular service also includes some special “stations” not available over the air but exclusive to iheartradio.
Another new feature allows for two of Sonos’ S5 receivers to be deployed as stereo pairs. Crossfading between songs is also new along with customizing alarms for different days of the week.
Lastly, Japanese and simplified Chinese language support for the Sonos controllers is available.
