SoundExchange Adds Two Executives

Organization makes hires in strategic initiatives, communications

SoundExchange has made two new hires for its executive team. The organization collects music recording royalties and distributes them to copyright owners.

Mark Eisenberg is now senior vice president, Strategic Initiatives, and Jacqueline Peterson is senior vice president, Communications.

Eisenberg comes to SoundExchange from MixRadio, a mobile personalized radio service operated by Microsoft. There, he was global head of Content Acquisition and Strategy. Prior to MixRadio, Eisenberg spent more than 15 years as the executive vice president and head of Business & Legal Affairs for the Global Digital Business Group at Sony Music Entertainment. He has advised digital start-ups and established media companies in the areas of music, television and film content acquisition, distribution, data analytics and social media, a release said.

Now, Eisenberg will identify and pursue new applications for SoundExchange’s world-class distribution platform and foster relationships with existing and potential licensees.

Peterson comes to SoundExchange from Live Nation Entertainment where she was senior vice president of Corporate Communications. Previously, she was the strategic external communications director for Caesars Entertainment Corp. She will be responsible for leading SoundExchange’s internal and external communications, marketing and public relations efforts.
