Three decades as the radio voice of the Red Sox

For three decades Joe Castiglione has been the courtier on radio for the Boston Red Sox and the Red Sox Radio Network.

On Wednesday he was saluted by the Sox and the Red Sox Nation at Fenway Park for that service.

Entercom’s WEEI currently broadcasts the Red Sox.

In other WEEI and Red Sox news, Red Sox Manager Bobby Valentine has mended fences with WEEI personality Glenn Ordway after Valentine threatened to punch him in the mouth after Ordway asked a pointed question in a remote interview, Sept. 5. Valentine’s “tirade” went viral across sports networks and blogs.
