Spanish Broadcaster Adds Routers

Danish manufacturer wins order

Spanish state broadcaster Radio Nacional de España ordered 15 digital audio routers from NTP of Denmark. Delivery is expected in November. The deal was negotiated with NTP’s Spanish distributor, Lexon Broadcast.

The modular routers, model 625, are three-frame and single-frame models designated for use in regional broadcast centers.

Each frame can support up to 18 hot-swappable I/O, processing or controller cards. Audio can be brought in as analog or digital, with MADI groupings for larger jobs. Frames can also be linked for larger networks.

RNE Spain offers a variety of programming across several channels including news, classical music, Catalan language and pop music. A larger 11-frame NTP router is installed at RNE’s Madrid headquarters.
